Paynovate is growing. To face the technical challenges posed by our complex sector and business expansion, we are currently looking for a skilled System Engineer with knowledge in Networks to join our Tech team.

Your Mission
As a key element of a team of skilled system engineers to maintain our hybrid infrastructure (on premice and AWS), you'll be responsible for:

Migrating our infrastructure to AWS
Maintaining and improving our observability stack (alerting and monitoring)
Supporting developers to deliver their software on performant apps server stack
Relentlessly improving the security of our stack
Maintaining and improving our infrastructure as a code framework

You are passionate about sytem engineering. Your degree in Computer Science/Engineering/related field, and your proven experience in system development are your core competencies
You are experienced with Linux systems
You have a good command of Puppet
You're proficient with Terraform or any similar IaaC technology
You can display good knowledge with HAProxy, Docker, Git and GitOps
Some experience with AWS is a strong asset
Prior knowledge of the PCI-DSS environment is nice to have
You are a born problem-solver and thrive in finding solutions against constrained environments. You like working in a complex sectors like financial systems, electronic payments, and transaction processing for the technical challenges they pose
You find the idea of working for a regulated environment rewarding and enticing. You ideally have a good understanding of security principles and compliance regulations relevant to financial software
Autonomy, agility and excellence are your motto. You are able to propose initiatives and follow-through
English is like a second language to you. Ideally, you are at ease using either French or Dutch to communicate within the team
You are drawn to the idea of working in an international environment and love interacting with other cultures
Team cohesion is important to you. You are willing to come work from our Brussels offices ideally 2 days a week
