Paynovate is looking for a Issuing Operations Manager to join our wonder-team to help them keep up with our constant growth and evolutions 🚀

As our new Issuing Operations Manager you will work collaboratively with your peers and a team of highly skilled Product Managers, Compliance and Finance Managers. This pivotal role within the Operations team provides vital expertise delivering payment infrastructure to meet customer needs and in conjunction with the card schemes ensuring the ongoing adherence to the obligations of a Principal Member.

Your mission:

    • Manage customer support tickets and questions related to their day to day issuing operations, feeding back to internal stakeholders where necessary to improve the product and processes.
    • Provide an optimum level of customer service at all times ensuring that agreed service standards are achieved and maintained.
    • Act as a liaison where required, with Paynovate’s cards supply chain (processors, manufacturers, printers, distributors, etc) and assist in managing or changing existing card programmes to time and quality expectations.
    • Maintain deep understanding of Scheme rules and ensure operational compliance and implementation against these rules. Manage any non compliance alerts or issues that arise from breaching those rules.
    • Complete and assist with all operational reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders, such as (but not limited to) Mastercard, Visa and Apple.
    • Ensure programmes and all supporting marketing collateral and technical setups at the processor are approved in line with agreed Paynovate and Scheme policies.

    • 3+ years experience within the customer facing implementation or operations team of a card issuer, card scheme, processor or card programme manager.
    • In-depth knowledge of and experience with all aspects of card setup processes, projects and operations with Visa & Mastercard, processors, card printers and other supply chain partners.
    • An excellent understanding and knowledge of card processing and mobile payment technologies (including tokenization) is a plus.
    • Self confidence and/or self assurance with regard to your domain knowledge.
    • Team player, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to talk easily to people at all levels (internally and externally). Including the ability to work well and contribute to the internal teams locally and internationally.
    • Self-starter who is analytical and has an aptitude for problem solving; ability to quickly analyse information and creatively reach solutions and to execute their implementation.
    • Positive and open minded outlook, able to contribute to the cultural aspects of the company.
    • You have good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast moving, dynamic environment that is fun, but serious as well (we are responsible for other people’s money and we take this and our regulatory responsibilities very seriously).
    • Experience of providing outstanding customer service.
    • Well organized and able to handle a large and varied workload.
    • An aptitude for producing high volume, accurate work with impeccable attention to detail.
